A principis de segle XI les relacions de força comencen a canviar. Els guerrers dominen la frontera fent córrer els diners de les ràtzies. Alguns nobles propicien intercanvis comercials desplaçant riquesa cap a les urbs. Tots intenten fer tractes amb uns comtes i bisbes que saben negociar amb uns i altres per seguir mantenint els seus privilegis i que, per lliurar-se del domini eclesiàstic de Narbona, es llencen als braços de Roma. Els noms gots, com els de les dones soles, van desapareixent del mapa

Banyols va quedant en mans de la Seu de Barcelona, encara que sigui a nivell fiscal. En 1028 Regiat i Adelaida tornen a la Seu un alou en Banyols que Bonadona, germana del bisbe Vives (974-995), els va vendre. L’alou havia estat de Recesvind i per ordre comtal, a causa del robatori d’uns calzes d’or, va passar a la Seu i d’aquesta va passar “sense saber com» a la germana del bisbe (recordem que el bisbe Vives va fer vàries donacions i va deixar legats a familiars seus) i ara ells el retornen[1].

Al segle XI, amb el bisbe Aeci (995-1010) i tal com passa en altres episcopats, es va donant una separació entre els béns de la Catedral i els de la Canònica que es va consolidant propiciant el pas dels béns acumulats per la Seu (Bisbat i Catedral) a unes quantes mans privades. Les donacions, que al segle X es repartien entre la Catedral, els monestirs i diferents esglésies, es van concentrat ara en la Canònica per passar, poc després, a les ordres religiós-militars, tot i que la Canònica procurarà de nou concentrar capital.

Jaume Codina recull, a l’obra de Els pagesos de Provençana, la venda de 25 de juliol de 1017[2] o de 1016 (segons datacions)[3], de part de l’heretat a la Torre Blanca, de Guifré Carbonell i la seva dona Sinulo a Renard Bovet, però aquest topònim és, en aquest cas, referit a Provençals de Barcelona, tot i que els noms dels actuants ens són propers.

El 21 de novembre de 1013 Grudil·la, deovota[4], ven a Guifred anomenat «Carbonell» i a la seva dona «Sindul» la tercera part d’una terra que tenia per donació i que limitava amb el coll de Codines a l’Est (Enforcats o Creu Coberta), la «strata publica» al Nord, la via que va a Llanera al Sud i el torrent «que corre quan plou» a l’Oest[5]. És a dir, ens dona la demarcació de la part central de que ara és L’hospitalet.

Grudil·la, deovota (o femina deodicata com signa el document) és l’amiga d’Aurucia deodicata, la que va rebre el lloc que Aurúcia tenia al mercat de Provençana, la qual cosa és una evidència que els béns que van administrar dones soles van passar a mans d’homes (clergues o laics), de que els historiadors han obviat els noms de les dones i que recollir-los aporta quelcom en què indagar.

Si el rec d’Amalvígia, com està reconegut, és a l’inici de Banyols, Aurúcia Deovota, com van veure a una entrada anterior[6], és a l’inici de la documentació relativa a “Santa Eulàlia de Provençana” i de les referències a Quinçà (actual barri del Centre de l’Hospitalet) i les seves amigues Sínul i Grudelle Deovota ho són a la delimitació teritorial de Provençana i a la seva vida comercial.
